# K1356–K1359 waitset close lifetime contract This isolated `no_std` model owns a fixed set of subscriptions on behalf of one live process generation. The kernel adapter validates the underlying handles before registration. A successful close clears every subscription in one transition, returns the number released, and leaves the resource count at zero. A second close and any subsequent registration are rejected as `Closed`. A peer-death callback carries the subscription ID and the waitset close epoch. If close wins a race, the callback is stale and cannot publish an event or restore a subscription. If peer death wins first, close still releases every subscription. Foreign close attempts and stale callback IDs preserve the full snapshot. These rules apply to channel, task, and file subscriptions alike. The K1360 guest gate must exercise close and the peer-death race on the same Image over direct and UEFI paths at 256, 512, and 1024 MiB with one CPU, and bind serial/QMP and source/fixture hashes. The local model is not product acceptance.
